Moose says don’t question the process. Comfy is comfy. He loves lounging in his dog bed, all different positions.

Moose is a giant love loaf! He is so affectionate and cuddly. He can get kind of vocal when he feels ignored, but it’s so adorable how he sounds when “talking” to you.

He has been doing great with the little dogs in his foster home. Moose is pretty coexist, which is great because so are they. All little dogs are under 20 lbs. Moose is super gentle with kids. He does need a home with no kitty friends.

Moose is 60 lbs, housebroken, crate trained, walks well on leash, rides great in the car, enjoys outings and will “talk” to folks while going around town, this guy is even awesome at the vet and is a pro with nail trims (just give him treats) and he’s easy to bathe in the backyard too.

Beautiful Lady B is wondering if you’ve heard just how awesome she is. This gorgeous and friendly senior is looking for a family to love her as much as we do. At 8 years young she is an amazing girl for a family or even a first time doggy parent.

She’ll do great in a home or apartment. Lady B loves car rides, walks well on leash, enjoys patio hangs and will be an excellent “take around town” kinda girl.

Beatrice is housebroken and crate trained, good with other dogs and kids. She does have a prey drive so a home without cats will probably be best. Be prepared for squirrel stalking (her favorite toy is a crinkle squirrel), but she really just loves to lounge outside or inside with the AC and comfy chair.

Trust us you will LOVE our sweet Dutch boy! The sweetest personality, fun playful energy, just the right amount of derp, but still a smart kid.

Dutch loves car rides, getting pup cups, going for walks, meeting new dogs and meeting new people, good with kids. He just has so much love to give. A heart of gold this guy!

Dutch is also housebroken and crate trained. He is a 70 lbs Rhodesian Ridgeback mix.

He’ll make a great family dog or is perfect for a single person looking for an adventurous furry friend. Dutch can live in an apartment or a house, as long as he has some space to run around and find sticks.

Reese will definitely make your puppy dreams come true! She’s an amazing girl with a lot of love to give. She loves playing with other dogs, going on outdoor adventures (she’s a total water dog!), rides great in the car, she’s smart and treat motivated (great for training), walks well on leash’s is housebroken & crate trained, good with kids. You’re all around wonderful pup!!

Reese is a 6 months old Boxer mix, around 38 lbs. Fully vaccinated and spayed.

Vassy is always the happiest girl! She loves people, playing with other dogs, going for car rides and walkies, watching squirrels, cuddling and more. Just an all around bestest pup.

Vassy is looking for a new temp foster while her current foster is gone. She’ll need a place to crash for two weeks starting June 6th. She’s also available for foster to adopt if you’re interested in making her a permanent part of your home.

This is never a post we like to make. If you remember the last litter of puppies born into the rescue, Peony here is one of them. A little over a year old, she is being returned to HHDR. Her family is incredibly heartbroken to have to return her, but because of life changes, they can no longer provide for Peony.

Peony is a Great Pyrenees mix, she is a big girl. We are waiting on more information about her. She does need a foster home ASAP.

That face and those body wrinkles. Moose is as charming as he is adorable… and adoptable! He is the loving loaf you have been looking for. Cuddly and affectionate with full body wiggles to greet you, not just when you come home, but when you enter the room or when Moose comes in from being outside. The love this senior has to give is endless. You don’t have to search for a dog to look at you with unconditional love because you’ve found him right here!!

Now will he steal your spot on the couch, probably. Will he rearrange your cushions, pillows and blanket… oh 100%. Will he have you going “AWWW… 🥹” when you see him so comfy cozy, absolutely.

Moose is amazing with people, gentle with little kids and coexists with two little female dogs (10 & 13lbs) at his foster’s home. We are not sure how he will do with larger dogs or males. Cats are a no go for Moose.

Moose is 8 years old and nearly 60 lbs (he is on a diet). He walks wonderfully on leash, loves a car ride, is housebroken and crate trained. This guy even enjoys going to the vet, does great at bath time and kindly lets you trim his nails.

The happiest derp girl in all the land! Kai is such a sweet and cuddly girl once she feels comfortable with you. You will love her as much as we do if you just give her a chance. (The last photo is very much part of her personality and charm too!)

Kai is such a smart girl. She’s crate trained, housebroken, knows multiple commands, is muzzle trained, rides great in the car and walks well on leash. She loves puzzles and chews, cuddles and kisses. Belly rubs and back scratches are her favorite.

Kai will be most successful in a home with no other pets, no children and with someone that doesn’t have a lot of new folks coming in and out of their home. If you have company over she is happy to chill in the bedroom with a good bone.

How do we have all these kiddos with the best ears?! If you’re looking for a more mature furry friend, Beatrice is the perfect match for you! She is the perfect combination of playful and chill. You can take her to any patio and she’ll have the best time while being so well behaved. Especially if there are squirrels she can watch.

Lady B is great with other dogs and kids. She’s housebroken and crate trained. She is smart and funny. She absolutely loves car rides and even walks well on leash. Just the best senior girl!

Moose says he will be the best couch snuggler you have ever met! He is such a loving loaf. He will make you the happiest pet parent. You’ll be asking yourself everyday how you got so lucky to have Moose in your life.

Moose had a rough start. He was found dumped with his bestie Poppy (who has already been adopted). He was heartworm positive with terrible ear infections and bad skin. Today he is heartworm free, his ears are all healed and his skin looks so much better. Now he is on a diet, that sedentary life while going through treatment made him a little overweight, but his daily walks and diet food are slowly helping.

Moose adores people, he is gentle with kids and he has been doing great with his little foster home friend Olive (she is an 11 lbs & 15 years old mutt). Cats are a no go for Moose.
