Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at the Capitol for Legislative Advocacy Training! Attendees gained valuable insights from Representative Donna Howard and her staff on how to communicate effectively with elected officials.

The TLA Legislative Committee, chaired by Lucy Podmore, along with TLA staff and TLA President Melissa Rippy helped attendees put information and resources into action through hands-on advocacy training.

From meeting with legislators to sharing real-world experiences with one another, participants left with practical tools, resources, and renewed confidence to be strong voices for Texas libraries. For TLA advocacy tools and resources, visit txla.org/advocacy
