One of our amazing program team members, Audria, is exploring that question at the National Federation of Families Conference in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, where she’s representing Miracle Foundation as a breakout session speaker! 🧡

Her session, “Fail Fast So You Don’t Fail Families Later,” explores how teams can feel safe enough to ask questions, try new approaches, and learn when something doesn’t work.

That openness comes with responsibility: using evidence to guide decisions and keeping people with lived experience at the center of the work.

For a child facing change, being cared for by someone familiar can mean so much. 🧡

Kinship care is when a grandparent, aunt, uncle, adult sibling, or close family friend cares for a child whose parents are unable to. These caregivers can offer a safe, loving home while helping children stay connected to their family, traditions, and community.

And caregivers need care, too. Access to resources, guidance, and ongoing support helps the whole family thrive.

This Kinship Care Week, we’re celebrating the caregivers who show up for children every day and recognizing the importance of supporting them all year long.

80% of children living in institutional care have a living parent.

Many children are separated from their families not because they have no one who loves them, but because their family is facing challenges they cannot overcome alone.

We believe separation should be a last resort.

By strengthening families before a crisis, supporting safe reunification, and staying alongside families afterward, we can help more children grow up with the people who already know and love them.

Because every child deserves the safety, stability, and belonging of family.

A new chapter begins! 🧡 💙

Please join us in welcoming Elizabeth Griffin as Miracle Foundation's new CEO!

Elizabeth has spent more than two decades creating opportunities for vulnerable children and families, with work spanning child welfare, anti-trafficking, disability services, and crisis response in more than 10 countries. Most recently, she led The BiG Community here in Central Texas through a $12 million capital campaign, and before that she helped grow Unbound Now's anti-trafficking work from one county to six countries.

"What excites me about Miracle Foundation is not only where we're going, but how we're getting there: strengthening families, transforming systems, and creating change that lasts," Elizabeth says.

We can't wait for you to get to know her as she leads us toward our vision: a family for every child in our lifetime.
