Austin Youth Orchestra Nurturing young musicians (grades 1-12) in Central Texas since 1973. Welcome to the Austin Youth Orchestra!

The Austin Youth Orchestra provides a pathway for musical excellence and personal growth through high-quality orchestral programs. For over 50 years, the Austin Youth Orchestra has been a cornerstone of our city's cultural life, nurturing the talent and passion of young musicians from across the greater Austin area. Our mission is to cultivate musical excellence, personal gro

wth, and community connection. Through our seven distinct ensembles, students from 1st to 12th grade find a supportive home to develop their skills, learn the power of collaboration, and experience the joy of making music together. AYO brings together young artists from public, private, charter, and homeschools, creating a vibrant reflection of Austin's diverse and creative spirit.
