A month of no posting means lots we need to catch you up on. Some good and some absolutely heartbreaking, but as rescuers we hold space for it all. Here is a tiny snippet of what's happened over the last few weeks:
✨ Big Deal went to his PERFECT forever home, his name is now Mulder and he's enjoying his days snuggled up to his new mama on the couch binging X-Files.
✨ Foster kitten "Fuzz Cat" continues to get...fuzzier.
✨ New volunteer MJ continues to trap, trap, trap! Rain or shine, early morning and late nights...all while juggling rescue work with a small child.
✨ Ziggy, our longterm diabetic foster, was *finally* cleared for his much needed dental! This was the last thing he needed before being eligible for adoption. The vet reported that he tried to walk off the table multiple times during surgery which is....very Ziggy.
💔 We want to also hold space for Clementine, the tiniest little 3lb kitten with a severely broken leg and underlying health conditions that caused her body to fail her. After two visits the the ER, a blood transfusion, round the clock supportive care, countless visits to our primary vet, Clementine left her body on her own in the comfort of her foster.
💔 Feral mama cat, Moo Moo, was humanely euthanized due to a severe case of mastitis that essentially caused deep tunnels of infection to develop, it was clear she had been suffering long before we met her. The kindest thing we could do was provide her peace.
We don't know what 2026 will bring and there are so many odds stacked against small rescues like us (more on that later), but we will remain hellbent on helping every feline that crosses our path in whatever way we can even amidst dwindling resources.
