Wilderness Works

Wilderness Works Wilderness Works delivers cognitive, emotional, physical and social developmental experiences to the children we serve.

Serving Atlanta's children and especially promising underserved campers, Wilderness Works provides year-round enrichment, experiential education, and character development since 1997. Wilderness Works provides a series of graduated programs allowing children to develop between the years of eight and eighteen. Continuity is the watchword so that a child can “grow up” in Wilderness Works. Wilderness Works complements school calendars by providing a powerful alternative especially on weekends, school holidays and during summer months. Wilderness Works provides five chief programs: Day Camp, City Camp, Summer Camp, Core Camps and Field Camp.

Wilderness Works Atlanta boys accomplish high altitude backpacking in the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness of Colorado!!

During each school season campers participate in months of programming and preparation for upcoming summer expeditions in Georgia, North Carolina, and funding permitting, distant places including Colorado, Wyoming and beyond.

Invitations to participate in high adventure summer opportunities depend on camper participation during school season months including service projects that allow campers to give back.

We are so proud of the hard work and determination we have in the Colorado trip participants! Our campers mastered high altitude trail life including food preparation, shelter and more at 12,000 feet!

Besides stunning vistas, cool nights, lake swimming, rugged trails our group thrilled to spot MOOSE!!

Special thanks to our friends at Noah's Ark Whitewater Rafting and to our sister agency Field Camp! Fieldcamps.org!
