Frazer Center Fostering inclusive communities where people with and without disabilities gather, learn, & flourish.

Annually we serve over 250 children - one-third of whom have a developmental disability - between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years in our inclusive Child Development Program. We are one of only a few inclusive early education programs in metro-Atlanta and are unique in supporting both children and adults with disabilities in reaching their full potential.

Tomorrow morning! 🌿

Start your Sunday with Yoga in the Gardens at Cator Woolford Gardens. Melanie Cabrera will lead an all-levels practice from 8:30–9:30 a.m.

Bring your mat (and we recommend a blanket to put underneath it). We’ll have water waiting for you.

The class is donation-based, and no registration is required. Come join us!

**In case of rain, the class will be held in Frazer's atrium.**

Cowboy hats, line dancing, good food, and a passel of fun! 🤠💚

Frazer’s annual dance brought together our adult participants, families, friends, and Direct Support Professionals for an evening that was very Frazer.

Our DSPs helped make it happen, from planning and setting up to decorating hats and, of course, getting everyone out on the dance floor.

The connections you see in moments like these are part of everyday life at Frazer. As Sandra Reese puts it, “Being a DSP is really about relationships.”

And sometimes those relationships include leading the Electric Slide. 😄

Yoga in the Gardens returns this Sunday! 🌿

Join us October 4 from 8:30–9:30 a.m. for a donation-based, all-levels class on the lawn at Cator Woolford Gardens.

Bring your yoga mat and anything you need to be comfortable outdoors. We recommend bringing a blanket to place underneath your mat. We’ll have bottled water available.

We have two Frazer team members to celebrate! 💚

During Direct Support Professional Recognition Week, the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities recognized Sandra Reese as one of just four DSP Spotlight Winners from across Georgia. June Wilson was also recognized as one of 18 DSP Honorable Mentions statewide.

Sandra and June bring decades of combined experience at Frazer. They get to know each adult participant they support, show up for them every day, and are deeply valued members of the Frazer community.

“The child doesn’t have to fit the plan. The plan has to work for the child.”

After years—and in some cases decades—of teaching young children at Frazer, Gigi Banks, Karimata Balde, Cathy Davenport, Denise Southerland (clockwise from upper left) have learned a lot about what inclusion looks like in a classroom.

It starts with paying attention to the child in front of you.

Sometimes that means changing a lesson plan. Giving a child a few more minutes with the paint. Reassuring a parent who isn’t ready to say goodbye for the day. Or finding the song that changes the feeling in a room.

We brought the stories of these four longtime Frazer educators together to explore what they’ve learned about connection, teaching, and finding a way in.

Melanie Cabrera of The Intown Retreat will lead an all-levels practice focused on gentle movement and breath, surrounded by the early autumn gardens.

Want to spend a Saturday morning in the forest with us? 🌿

Join Frazer Center and Trees Atlanta on **Saturday, October 3, from 9 a.m.–noon** for our monthly Frazer Forest Volunteer Workday.

We’ll work together on the ongoing care and restoration of our old-growth forest. Projects may include removing invasive plants, maintaining trails, planting native species, and helping with erosion control.

**No experience is necessary.** We’ll provide training and guidance.
