Flashback Friday! Spending the day with our Legacy Residents. Our seniors are an essential part of the The Villages of East Lake community. They bring wisdom, history, experience, and perspective that help strengthen the entire community. Working alongside our senior residents is about more than providing programs—it is about building relationships, creating opportunities for connection, and making sure every resident feels valued and heard.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the East Lake Foundation encourages our residents and community to make breast health a priority. 💗

Take time to know your risk, talk with your healthcare provider, and stay up to date on recommended screenings. Early detection can make a difference.

This month, we also stand with breast cancer survivors, those currently fighting, caregivers, families, and everyone whose life has been touched by breast cancer.

Save the Date for A Grave Affair on October 24!

Did anyone else feel the tiniest hint of autumn in the air this morning? We did! Join us if you dare for the 7th annual A Grave Affair on October 24th from 3-9pm in the East View Cemetery. Presented by the East Lake Neighbors Community Association, this spine-tingling event promises Halloween fun for all ages.

Do you have strong opinions on candy corn? Do you compete with your neighbors to have the best Halloween decorations on the block? Are you already baking pumpkin flavored desserts? We need your help to make this year’s event the best one yet!

We are looking for:
-Volunteers to help plan the event (meetings once a month) and folks to help keep everything running smoothly the day of
-Any local vendors, artists, or organizations interested in setting up a booth on our trick or treat trail
-Any neighborhood businesses or organizations interested in donating a basket for our raffle or silent auction

By joining us as a volunteer or attendee you’re not only enjoying a night of eerie entertainment, but also contributing to a worthy cause. All proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting the East Lake Neighbors Community Association and the East View Cemetery.
