PF Independent Franchisee Council The PFIFC represents independent Planet Fitness franchise owners in the U.S.

The Planet Fitness franchise system has more than 140 franchisees who own and operate over 1,600 Planet Fitness locations in the United States. Franchisees have more than $4 billion invested in the Planet Fitness brand with their collective locations. The Planet Fitness Independent Franchisee Council (PFIFC) is a non-profit trade association founded in 2014 by Planet Fitness franchisees. Our mission is to preserve and enhance the business interests of all Planet Fitness franchisees and to collaborate with Planet Fitness headquarters (the franchisor) to improve brand equity for all stakeholders.

More than seven years ago, club manager Jesse Hester met Karissa Frey-Woroniak while they worked together at a DJD Fitness-owned Planet Fitness club.
