Please join us this Saturday, 10/17 at 3pm, for an artist talk for ๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ, ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ญ featuring artists from Tiger Strikes Asteroid: Greenville.

๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ, ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ญ brings together artists from Tiger Strikes Asteroid Greenville to explore the quiet power of presence through careful looking. Throughlines of materiality, temporality, and symbolism emerge which connect each member to the regional South. Drawing on a dual interpretation of โ€œstill lifeโ€ - both as an art historical genre and a meditation on what endures - the exhibition considers how artists document, reshape, and reimagine spaces they inhabit.

Visit the exhibition during gallery hours, Tuesday- Saturday, 10am - 4pm, through October 29th.

The still life, historically, is an art form devoted to the careful arrangement of objects - often everyday, domestic, or symbolic - captured in moments of quiet observation and reflection. ๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ, ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ญ asks how this humble genre remains an exploration of presence, an opportunity for reflection, and a meditation on futures both corporeal and virtual.

๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ, ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ญ is a group exhibition curated and organized by Tiger Strikes Asteroid: Greenville members Adam Eddy, Hirona Matsuda, and Kevin Kao, and features works by Kiley Brandt, Zen Cohen, Adam Eddy, Rebecca Forstater, Kevin Kao, Hirona Matsuda, Ashley Rabanal, Alex Schechter, Katherine Van Drie, and Michael Webster.

Tonight! Join us from 6 - 9 pm for the opening of ๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ, ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ญ, a group exhibition curated and organized by Tiger Strikes Asteroid: Greenville members Adam Eddy, Hirona Matsuda, and Kevin Kao.

In a region and time defined by contradiction - rapid development and deep-rooted tradition; cultural erasure and personal inheritance; attention economies and quiet reflection - the act of staying put, of noticing, of making with care becomes both aesthetic and political. The works in this exhibition reflect a range of practices: from careful object arrangements to meditative mark-making, site-responsive sculptures to intimate digital realities. Together, we ask: What remains? What rests? What resists motion - and why?

๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ, ๐˜š๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ญ๐˜ญ features works by Kiley Brandt, Zen Cohen, Adam Eddy, Rebecca Forstater, Kevin Kao, Hirona Matsuda, Ashley Rabanal, Alex Schechter, Katherine Van Drie, and Michael Webster.
