StoryCorps in Atlanta

StoryCorps Atlanta opened in 2009, and is located at the Margaret Mitchell House in Midtown.

We are part of the national non-profit organization, StoryCorps, the largest single collection of human voices ever gathered. StoryCorps is a national oral history project working to provide people of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, preserve, and share the stories of their lives. Since 2003, StoryCorps has collected and archived more than 50,000 interviews with some 90,

000 participants. StoryCorps Atlanta has completed almost 4,000 interviews with more than 7,000 participants. Over the last five years Atlanta Facilitators have recorded conversations with hundreds of organizations including the Red Cross, Asian Pacific American Historical Society, Emory University, and the Girl Scouts of Atlanta. Additionally, StoryCorps Atlanta has a broadcast partnership with WABE 90.1 FM and interviews can be heard Tuesdays at 7:45, 9:25, and 12:20.
