At Campbell-Stone, we’re fortunate to have residents like Lucretia, whose life has been shaped by a deep commitment to learning, service, and connection.
Lucretia is a former educator who carried her passion far beyond the classroom—serving as a Peace Corps teacher trainer in Ukraine and later continuing her work in China. Across every chapter, her focus has remained the same: helping others grow, learn, and feel connected.
Her relationship with Campbell-Stone spans many years, first during her time here from 2003–2006, when she lived here alongside her mother, and again since returning in January of 2016. Since then, she has continued to give back in meaningful ways—quietly and consistently.
Lucretia is one of our longest-serving volunteers, supporting fellow residents through mail delivery and her work in the Magnolia thrift store.
More than that, she brings thoughtfulness, curiosity, and a genuine care for the community around her.
We are grateful for the many ways Lucretia shows up—both in what she does and in who she is.
