In the refugee population of Germany, Omar* and Omnia* recently left their Muslim roots and started following Jesus! Even though their families shunned them for it, they publicly professed their faith through baptism. A total of four people in this community were baptized last month, with one more taking place this month! Join us in praising God for this amazing news!

There are millions of Muslims across Central Africa who have never heard the gospel, but the School of Missiology in Chad is equipping African leaders to change that. God used one graduate to help plant nine churches in communities that otherwise may have never heard the Good News. There are others who are willing to be sent, but the school lacks the funding to train them. You can help meet this vital need at EncompassWorldPartners.org/School-of-Missiology-Bachelors.

Etienne and Myriam are currently on an exploratory trip to Cambodia with us where they are discerning if God might be calling them to serve there long-term. Pray with us that God would use this trip to reveal the next step He has for their lives!

In January 2026, our sister Rifkatu was kidnapped while traveling in northeastern Nigeria, so we called upon our global family to intercede for her in prayer. Many long months went by with no news concerning her health or location—but that changed on Saturday! Rifkatu’s family received two voice messages that appear to be Rifkatu’s voice. Charis Alliance leaders are working with her church leaders to determine a course of action. Thank God with us that she’s still alive, and please renew your commitment to pray for her release.

Thank you for praying for this summer’s internships—the Lord heard and answered! While it was a great experience for all 12 of our interns, several of them say they feel called to full-time ministry with Encompass! We praise God for both the willingness of all these young adults and the generosity of people like you who make their exploratory trips possible. You can partner with us in sending more young adults to the nations by giving to our Annual Fund at EncompassWorldPartners.org/Annual-Fund.

Encompass is mourning the passing of our former colleague, Bonnie Beuggert, on August 10, 2026. Bonnie served in the Philippines before marrying Christian, with whom she spent many years church planting and equipping across the Philippines and Thailand. After returning to the States, she continued her ministry with Encompass through Special Assignment work and as part of our Member Care team. Please keep Christian and their family in your prayers. A celebration of life will be held on August 29 in Salem, Virginia.

Imagine recognizing the hope Jesus offers, but knowing that if you become a Christian, you’ll likely lose your career and be rejected by your friends and family. That's exactly what it's like for many Jesus followers in Central Asia. This dynamic makes it very hard for the church to grow here, which is why our workers in the area focus on helping believers start and operate their own businesses. Pray for those in this situation and consider helping them stay in their least-reached region by giving to the Central Asia Business Development and Resourcing fund: https://encompassworldpartners.org/project/business

Cambodia is less than 2% Evangelical, yet we have ministry partners who are devoting their lives to changing that. One of their more effective ministries involves hosting dozens of university students, providing housing, meals, and regular evangelism and discipleship encounters. But burnout is a very real threat for these leaders who pour themselves out year after year. That’s why this Leadership Retreat matters so much—it blesses them with rest, encouragement, and rejuvenation to press on. Over the years, these retreats have been vital for strengthening and refreshing the leaders who are impacting Cambodia with the gospel. Ask God to use this January 2027 retreat, and consider giving to invest in the longevity of these ministry leaders as they impact countless lives for eternity! https://encompassworldpartners.org/project/2027-cambodian-leadership-retreat-7644

Here's a big-picture update on all things Encompass from Executive Director Mike Yoder. This time he touches on team internships, long-term workers facing adjustments, our colleague Elise’s health challenges, our Ohio relocation, and the upcoming Charis Fellowship Conference. As always, thanks for supporting us through the Annual Fund so we can continue reaching the least reached together! EncompassWorldPartners.org/Annual-Fund
