Here's a photo dump of what the Lord has been doing this semester.

From fall kickoff events with meeting new students and handing out free lemonade and having spiritual conversations, to putting on fun outreach events that foster community, leading bible studies, and worship services, which all lead to our fall breakaway where we had students accepted christ for the first time and students that rededicated their lives back to God.

The Lord has been good this semester and we still have a lot more to do before the year ends. Here's just a glimpse of what the Lord has been doing on the campuses at HBCU'S in Atlanta. Pray with us as we continue to reconcile students back to Christ.

Here’s an update on how things are going since the flash flood affected students attending Clark Atlanta University! Thank you so much to those of you who gave to the Emergency Relief Drive! We raised so much money and our campus ministry was able to donate several care packages to those affected! I spoke with the student leaders and we decided to put on an event entitled "Karaoke and Care Packages" so that those affected could show up, have some fun, and collect any items that they'd like! It was a wonderful opportunity to show our college students how the church can show up for those that are in need!

Clark Atlanta released a statement saying that only about 24 students were severely affected and have placed them in off-campus housing. Between our campus ministry, the outside community, and CAU alumni, the students were well taken care of. So much so that CAU is no longer accepting donations. As a result, we will no longer be accepting donations as well. But we will be sure to let you know if and/or when another pressing situation arises! Until then, thank you so much for all of the prayers and support!

🚨We have an urgent prayer request and need! There was a flooding in downtown atlanta last night that heavily affected the studenta at Clark Atlanta. Students have no access to food, clothes, and some of them even housing.

🚨Our campus ministry would like to gather some items and put together care packages for students in need! See flyer for what the students are requesting and how to give!!

🚨One care package is about $40, but any little bit you give will go a long ways! Thank you for all of your prayers and support at this time!

The countdown is on! Our third year on campus starts in just eight days! So it's not too late to give towards our Impact Campaign 2k23! $4500 is just 45 individuals/churches giving $100 or some other amount?

In honor of the new school year starting, we thought we'd share last school year's end of the year video highlighting our current students in the ministry and ministry events! A new school year means new student testimonies, new God encounters, and new lives forever changed for God's glory! We're just a couple of weeks away from welcoming over 8,000 students back to campus attending Spelman, Morehouse, and Clark Atlanta (collectively known as the Atlanta University Center)! Can you believe we finished off our second school year! Here are some highlights from the school year:

✔️Just about doubled our numbers in every aspect of ministry
✔️Took 11 students on a spring break mission trip (see newsletter for student testimonies)
✔️held our second discipleship training class for eleven students
✔️added six new student leaders
✔️had two water baptisms

Congratulations to Skylar and Jordan for making the public declaration to live for Jesus all the days of their lives! See how we met them and the trajectory of their faith since joining chi alpha below!

I met Skylar the second day of school just by walking around campus asking students if they needed in prayer! When I started praying for her, she bursted into tears! She said she was so lonely and needed community! Needless to say I introduced her to all things chi alpha and began doing 1on1s with her! In our first 1on1 she told me she was excited to begin her journey to learn more about what it means to be a christian! Since joining our community, she learned how to have a prayer life, how to read the bible, found a church home, bought the Tony Evans commentary, and made the decision to get water baptized! I’m so proud of her! She’s graduating in a few weeks, but I’m so happy to know that she’s leaving the campus knowing how to have a personal relationship with Jesus!

And we met Jordan doing one of our contact tables! He was a transfer student and also wanted community! Devon and our two guy lifegroup leaders embraced him right away! Since joining our community, he hasn’t missed a beat and went on his first mission trip, led a devotional on the mission trip, prayed for people and did evangelism for the first time, led a small group on his campus on the importance of sharing our testimonies, and made the decision to get water baptized! Jordan will be a senior next year and we can’t wait to see how the Lord will use him to impact others for christ!

I couldn’t think of a better way to end the school year! Thank you guys from the bottom of our hearts! Because of your prayers and support, we were able to reach Jordan and Skylar for Christ! Their entire future has been forever changed! Praise Jesus!

One of the best parts of our job as campus missionaries is teaching students how to create an Acts 2:42 community for their peers! So when a student said she wanted to have a tea party, I jumped at the chance! Check out our highlights below!

Putting on events that foster community is one of the fastest ways for us to grow our campus ministry because it helps students belong before they believe! Or in other words, when new students feel like they connect with our other christ following students on a friend level, they are more likely to ask them questions on how to follow christ and more likely to listen to any correction given in love! Why? Because they know the student correcting them is doing it out of love instead of condemnation. Would you pray that more of our student leaders will grow in their desire to cultivate community as a way to help bring their peers to Christ!

And that’s a wrap on our Spring Break Mission Trip! Memories were made. Friendships were formed. But most importantly, we encountered God in life-changing ways! Some of our AUC chi alpha students spent their spring break ministering to college students at Columbus State University! And God used them to do the following:

✨share the Gospel
✨share their testimony
✨pray for others
✨lead devotionals

And so much more! So many seeds were sewn and we can’t wait to see how God waters them with the CSU students apart of !

Now time to bring the boldness and fire to see the lost reached for Christ back to the AUC!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾

And thank you to everyone single church that partnered with us and helped to provide our students with free meals, transportation, and a roof over their head! We could not do any of this without you! Because of everyone’s prayers and support we were able to take students on a life-changing event they will never forget!

First day of our spring break mission trip is off to an amazing start! We kicked off the mission trip with prayer for CSU’s campus! It was some of our students first time praying out loud! We prayed for the CSU chi alpha students to do some of the following:

✨ grow in their desire to do evangelism
✨ to see God as a good father
✨ to have an genuine community
✨ to reach more international students and
athletes

And so much more! We hit the ground running tomorrow with a prayer walk at Columbus Tech, contact table, and 2x2s! Would you continue to keep us in your prayers!!

🙌🏾 taking eleven students on our spring break mission trip tomorrow to Columbus state university!
🙌🏾 we have until April 3rd to find one more faculty advisor and apply to be a registered student organization!
🙌🏾 our discipleship training class is coming up as well!

Love was the topic today, so we passed around 100 bags with bible verses, affirmation, small group flyers, and candy to college students. Some of our students helped make the bags and wrote down encouraging bible verses and quotes for their peers.

We also had great conversations on the topic of love. We got a chance to ask students the question of the day: "Do you believe in unconditional love? Why or why not?" One student, in particular, said I do! I believe that God is the one who shows me unconditional love. We had the opportunity to encourage students and share why we believe in unconditional love and the chance to tell them about God, who unconditionally loves us all.
Also, we shared more about Chi Alpha and our upcoming events to all who wanted to know more!

Thank you to our faithful consistent supporters! Because of you all we were able to point students back to THE ONE that loves us unconditionally! And it was amazing seeing so many of our students engaging in evangelism with their peers! We couldn’t reach the lost at the HBCUs without you!
