Believe it or not, the school year is just around the bend!

Garden education will be in full swing in no time, which means that we need all hands on deck!

Interested in volunteering? We’re looking for social media experts, photographers, teachers, gardeners, and more to join our volunteer team!

Want to learn more? Fill out the 3 minute survey in our bio to tell us a little bit about yourself & your skills and we’ll get back to you within 48 hours. Whether you have an hour a week to give or 20 minutes a quarter, we have a job for you!

Last month, The Phoodery hosted a Pints for Purpose to benefit RVF2S’ programming! We lounged, enjoyed awesome food + bevs, and caught up with our community all while supporting farm to school programming!

Having community partners like the Phoodery makes the magic of garden education possible. Thank you x a million!!!

El mes pasado, The Phoodery organizó un evento llamado "Pints ​​for Purpose" para recaudar fondos para los programas de RVF2S. Nos relajamos, disfrutamos de comida y bebidas deliciosas y nos pusimos al día con nuestra comunidad, ¡todo mientras apoyábamos los programas de la granja a la escuela!

Flashback to Turnip the Beet in June!

All of us here are still basking in the glow of YOUR support & a magical night! 🌟🫜

Thanks to you all, Turnip the Beet celebrated its BIGGEST turnout yet — over 200 tickets sold and $22,000+ raised to keep garden education going this upcoming school year!

Farm to School celebrates melons in August!

Try out this Cantaloupe salad with cucumber & feta from Carrie Walder.

• 2 cups cantaloupe melon, skin removed + cut into chunks (or spooned into balls)

• 2 cups cucumber, chopped into half-moons (I used the Persian variety)

• 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled

• Approx. 15 large fresh mint leaves, torn or chopped

• 2 Tbsp olive oil

• 1 lime, juice only

• Salt + pepper, to taste

Combine and let rest for 30 min in the fridge before enjoying!

¡Farm to School celebra los melones en agosto!

Prueba esta ensalada de melón cantalupo con pepino y queso feta de Carrie Walder.

• 2 tazas de melón cantalupo, pelado y cortado en trozos (o en bolitas)

• 2 tazas de pepino, cortado en medias lunas (yo usé pepino persa)

• 1/2 taza de queso feta desmenuzado

• Aproximadamente 15 hojas grandes de menta fresca, troceadas o picadas

• 2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva

• 1 lima, solo el jugo

• Sal y pimienta al gusto

Mezcla los ingredientes y deja reposar 30 minutos en el refrigerador antes de disfrutar.
