Weather permitting, we invite veterans and active duty personnel to join us for a day. Following our recent transition out of the hay business, we now have the capacity to focus on our foundation and operate year-round, and we would be honored if you could join us.

The purpose of the flag….

Can you imagine a horse not exposed to all the outside world “dangers” lingering around or coming at you in a wind storm unexpectedly and that horse not to absolutely lose their mind?!?!

We don’t like that scenario…

Here the horse is desensitized to the noise, something flying around, and quick motions, but not only does it desensitize the horse of all that noise, it builds trust between the human. We’re saying here “it’s ok buddy, it’s not going to hurt you”.

They soon realize it doesn’t hurt them and you’re the one that helped them get through that scary situation. There creates a safe space, trust, and confidence for the horse.

Vern had a little time off due to his feet needing a little extra attention after all the moisture last month….

But, he’s remembered what he was taught… such a willing horse and a gentle giant!!!

He’s going to be a great asset for the program 🥰

Meet “Vern”!

He was unexpectedly a must have to bring home and we did need another c**t to add to the program after losing 2 main guys that provided so much to the team 😞

Vern will be doing a lot of groundwork for the next couple months and getting the foundation that he needs! 💕
