ATTENTION!!! Everyone that runs an add giving away pets, be aware that dog fighters are looking for these!!! They use puppies, kittens, bunnies etc... to throw in the ring with their fighting dogs to teach them to rip live animals to peices!! There are also individuals that feed them alive to their snakes! And others that gather as many free pets as they can to sell to labs for horrible testing. You wont know who these monsters are. They will give you fake names, send their wives and children to come and pick them up. Happens every day. Please spay and neuter all of your pets!!! Stop all kinds of cruelty by doing that one thing!

TRAP, NEUTER, RETURN seems like simple, humane common sense that everyone should support. However, in many areas, the opposite is true. Instead of helping those involved, communities are punishing them. Across the country, including places like Arkansas and Polk County, Florida, caregivers face feeding bans, restrictions aimed at trappers, and vague “nuisance” laws that can be used against anyone trying to help. These policies do not reduce cat populations. They make TNR more difficult, push caregivers into hiding, and lead to the killing of the most visible cats, including friendly community cats, and lost pets.

Killing has never solved this problem. It didn’t work decades ago, and it still doesn’t work now.

Research shows that harmful restrictions are widespread. Many counties and municipalities have made feeding illegal or established barriers that make humane management nearly impossible. Since most cat-related laws are set at the local level, rules vary from one area to the next. This creates confusion for those trying to stabilize colonies and often contradicts established best practices.

This is why statewide TNR protection laws are urgently needed. TNR is the only method supported by evidence. It is proven to stabilize colonies, reduce shelter intake, and prevent suffering. Feeding bans do not decrease populations; they only starve cats and force caregivers into hiding. Licensing requirements and punitive laws do not tackle the main issue; they target the people making a real difference. States need to step in and create clear, humane standards.

Statewide protections should acknowledge TNR as the accepted standard of care. They should protect caregivers from punishment, eliminate feeding bans and restrictive local laws, and ensure humane population management is possible everywhere. These measures should not be optional or based on ZIP codes. They should be guaranteed.

Community cats should not be treated like criminals for existing. Caregivers should not be threatened for their efforts. Every state should ensure that TNR can be practiced safely, legally, and without fear because it is the only method that works and the only one that treats both cats and caregivers with the respect they deserve.

...........FREE TO GOOD HOME CAN KILL PETS! ...........
If you are in the unfortunate position of needing to rehome a beloved family pet, hopefully a friend or family member will give that pet a new loving home. However, many do not have this option and are faced with difficult choices. On the internet on Craigslist, in local newspapers, on bulletin boards in neighborhood venues, you see the ads....Free to Good Home.
A smiling stranger answers that ad. It is entirely possible they will give your pet a loving new home. It is also possible that the smile on their face hides a dark soul. Those who look for animal as bait or dog fighting, those who gather pets to sell to laboratories for experimenting, a garden variety sociopath who enjoys torturing helpless creatures, a hoarder who thinks they are "rescuing", even a person with a pet snake looking for a free meal for that snake....They all smile......Can you tell the difference between them and that potential loving home? They look just like you and me......
Do not take a chance with the life of your beloved pet. Taking them through the door of a reputable shelter/rescue might be difficult, but it is less difficult than imagining them in the hands of a smiling monster........If you love them, give them a true chance at a new life.

THE ROBIN YOU SAVED FROM YOUR CAT DID NOT SURVIVE.
You found a stunned, native American Robin (Turdus migratorius) after your domestic cat (Felis catus) swiped it from a low branch. You immediately cupped it in your hands, keeping it warm, and talked softly, feeling its frantic heartbeat against your palm. It perked up; you opened your hands, and it flew into the safety of the bushes. You felt like you saved it.

You didn't. Right now in March, migrating, native American Robins are establishing vital US breeding territories. human handling stress triggers fatal capture myopathy—a muscle breakdown that kills small birds hours after appearing to recover.
