When teachers learn, children benefit. 💙

Members of the Woodbridge School team recently traveled to Boulder Journey School for an immersive professional learning experience inspired by the schools of Reggio Emilia.

We are grateful to the Cummings Foundation for making this opportunity possible.

Our latest blog shares more about the experience: https://mypcd.org/learning-growing-together/

Learning, moving, and connecting through music! 🎶💙

Sara Mendes, Music Therapist with our Early Intervention program, led a parent and child Music and Movement session in collaboration with Healthy Families in Lowell.

Shared musical experiences give young children opportunities to practice communication, coordination, and social skills while enjoying time with their parents.

Thank you to Healthy Families for partnering with us to support children’s growth and development and bring families together!

A big thank-you to The Wish Project for helping local families get ready for the school year! 🎒💙

Last week, we picked up 40 backpacks filled with school supplies to support the families we serve. We’re grateful for community partners who help us support children and families in so many ways!

Woodbridge School’s first-ever Messy Play Week was a wonderfully messy success! 🎨💦

Our students splashed, squished, scooped, painted, dug, and explored their way through a week filled with hands-on discovery and pure childhood joy.

Every messy moment helps children build creativity, confidence, problem-solving skills, and a love of learning. The paint on their hands will wash away, and the mud on their clothes will come out in the laundry, but the memories they made will last a lifetime.

A big thank-you to Peter Breen Excavating (YourMulchGuy.com) for graciously donating the fresh screened dirt that made our giant mud pile possible! ✨

A thoughtfully designed classroom can help build a strong foundation for lifelong learning. 🌱

At Woodbridge School, our Reggio-inspired environments offer five important benefits for children:

🎨 Fostering creativity and imagination
💪 Promoting independence and confidence
🔍 Supporting deep learning through inquiry
💬 Enhancing communication and collaboration
🌟 Respecting individual learning styles

By encouraging children to explore their interests, make choices, share ideas, and express themselves in different ways, we help them develop skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Please join us in supporting our August Staff Member of The Month!

Briana was described by one of her coworkers as "the hardest worker for her families and her team." Briana is always flexible with her time to support her teammates with evaluations, IFSP updates, and consults. Additionally, she provides support for our new staff by taking them out to shadow visits, training them in EICS, and discussing cases. Briana also consistently utilizes the multidisciplinary team to ensure her families are having all of their needs met during their time in EI. Briana's dedication to her families and her EI team is incredible!

Thank you, Briana, we're so grateful to have you on our team!
