AFRA was founded on November 15, 1917 by the firefighters of Andover, Massachusetts.

The Andover Fireman’s Relief Association, established in 1917 by the Andover Firefighters, is dedicated to supporting our members and serving the community of Andover, Massachusetts. As a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization, we provide financial assistance to the families of our members in the event of a line-of-duty death. Through fundraising efforts and year-round community engagement events, we honor the tradition of service, foster strong community ties, and promote the well-being of those who protect and serve.

Well… somehow we pulled it off. Show N’ Shine is officially in the books, and apparently a few of you heard about it because around 300 cars showed up today. Not bad. Mother nature actually cooperated for once and gave us an absolutely perfect day. We had everything from BMW's to beautifully restored muscle cars, and antiques to some cool JDM cars — along with plenty of vehicles that made us question how much money their owners have successfully hidden from their spouses!

But seriously, THANK YOU to everyone who came out today and supported the Andover Firefighters Relief Association and Melmark New England. Whether you brought a car, walked the show, bought some raffle tickets, grabbed some food, or just came down to hang out, you helped make today a huge success.
We also had a whole lot of volunteers from Melmark New England and the Andover Ma Firefighters Local 1658 Andover Firemen's Relief Association keeping things moving all day. Melmark’s kitchen crew absolutely crushed it, with Donna’s doughnuts, muffins and pumping out breakfast sandwiches and burgers for a few hundred hungry people. Turns out feeding a couple hundred car people is slightly more complicated than just throwing some burgers on the grill.
A ton of work goes into putting this together, and there are way too many people to thank individually.... So to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, car owners, spectators and everyone who helped behind the scenes, Thank You.

You all made Show n' Shine was one hell of good a day!
Now we’re going to go sit down for the first time since about 6 this morning
