Eric spoke to NBC10 Boston last week about the bill that would give communities in MA the option to use traffic cameras to enforce the rules of the road and reduce dangerous driving.

These cameras have already been implemented in 20+ states and have been proven to prevent pedestrian fatalities.

Please ask your representative to support Senate Bill 2344 and House Bill 3754

You’ve seen them around town, you’ve probably heard chatter on Facebook, and you might have heard about a proposed bylaw here in Andover… but what actually IS an e-bike?

Andover's proposed e-bike registry (Warrant Article P31) would only apply to Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes, which have a maximum speed of 20 mph. We recognize that there is a problem with modified and out of class e-bikes in our town (and beyond) speeding and engaging in other dangerous behaviors, but this bylaw wouldn’t apply to these vehicles and doesn’t address the problems with them.

Instead of this, we support the recommendations of the MA Commission on Micromobility to eliminate the current ambiguity in the electric mobility classification system by introducing a speed tier system where vehicles operating ABOVE 20mph would have additional requirements, including registration with the state.
