This is sweet Tongtong, who has transfusion dependent thalassemia. Tongtong's family live in a rural village, and have worked hard to be able to manage her medical care without outside support. Sadly, Tongtong has been recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, a truly heartbreaking situation, which, on top of her thalassemia, seems way beyond her family's means. We would like to provide a grant to her family to help with the huge financial burden of both thalassemia and leukemia. We hope they will somehow understand that they are not alone in this battle. As we close out 2025, LiMin says thank you for helping us make a difference, one life at a time!
We first met LiMin in 2017. Like many children with thalassemia in our area of work, her future was uncertain without consistent access to blood transfusions. Her single mom worked hard at a toy factory, but could not afford regular treatment on her monthly salary of $150/month. Through the faithfulness of our supporters, LiMin has been able to receive the transfusions and medication she needs. Her mom no longer feels alone while managing this chronic disease. What once felt impossible has become a steady source of strength and hope—for LiMin and for her mom.

September is cancer awareness month. Lu Qing is a one-year-old baby girl from a small village in Asia, where she lives with her loving parents and sibling.Her smile lights up her family's lives, but behind her bright eyes is a heartbreaking battle—Lu Qing has been diagnosed with hepatoblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of liver cancer.
Her parents are hardworking, simple people with no savings to fall back on. They’ve done everything they can, but the cost of Lu Qing’s treatment—over $9,000 USD—is far beyond their reach. She urgently needs chemotherapy and intensive care (ICU) to survive, but without financial help, her chances are slipping away. We would love to give hope through a $3000 grant toward her care to ease their burden.

Yi Fan is a 7 year old boy who has transfusion dependent thalassemia. He lives in a village in Xingye, Guangxi. His mother is disabled and uses a wheelchair. His father is in his 70's and works part time. We are hoping to help him receive the thalassemia care he needs to survive and thrive. Would someone be able to help by providing $70/month which will give him to access blood transfusions and medications?

Yu Yun's mother left the family when Yu Yun's father began exhibiting signs of severe mental illness, leaving Yu Yun behind. Yu Yun requires ongoing transfusions and chelation medicine to survive. Ya Jie is SPONSORED!! Thank you!! Meet 9 year old Ya Jie. Ya Jie has transfusion dependent thalassemia with inconsistent medical care due to her family's inability to afford transfusions and chelation. As a result, her spleen and liver are now enlarged. Ya Jie's mother left the family, and her father works as a farmer caring for her and her 3 siblings. The monthly cost to help Ya Jie receive regular transfusions and chelation is $70/month. We would love to find a sponsor/sponsors for her and would be so grateful for the partnership to help this special little girl.

This is what heart failure looks like in a teenage with thalassemia. He said he is so worried about the cost of treatment that he thinks maybe he shouldn't fight to stay alive anymore. No child should think that way, and we are determined to help his mom afford his treatment. Please help us spread the word.
