Temple Emanuel is the largest Reform Congregation north of Boston and an active member of the URJ. We invite you to become part of our community.

More than 100 years after the ground breaking of our first brick & mortar community facility, Temple Emanuel of Andover is now "breaking ground" in the online social media community! Temple Emanuel of Andover has become the religious and educational center for Reform Judaism in the Merrimack Valley. Visit our Preschool and our Religious School. Join us this Friday for a Kristallnacht Shabbat Evening Service, as we remember the night in November 1938 that marked a turning point toward the Holocaust.

The Aliyah Band will lead us in music, and our guest speaker, Dr. Janusz Rudnicki, will share his family’s story. Born in Poland to parents who survived the Holocaust, Dr. Rudnicki will talk about growing up in Communist Poland and his family’s journey to the United States.

Please join us for an evening of music, remembrance, reflection, and learning.

This Thanksgiving, let's make sure our neighbors have a full table too.

From Thursday, November 12 through Sunday, November 15, Temple Emanuel is holding a food drive for the community pantry at Ballard Vale United Church. The pantry is a 24-hour, self-service food pantry and fridge run in partnership with Village Food Hub, a nonprofit working to make healthy food more accessible to everyone in our community.

Drop off shelf-stable Thanksgiving staples and other nonperishable food in the collection bins in the Temple coat room.

Perfect timing: on Saturday, November 14 at 6:30 pm, join Cantor Caitlin McLaughlin and guest soloist Ben "Benny P" Romano for our Havdalah Musical Program. Bring a bag of food when you come, drop it in the bins, and stay for an evening of music, singing and a dessert oneg.

What happens when Cantor Caitlin McLaughlin and worship rapper Ben “Benny P” Romano get together? A whole lot of music, joy, and delightful surprises!

Join us for a special Havdalah Musical Program on Saturday, November 14th, 6:30 - 9:00pm featuring these longtime friends and co-writers for an evening of original songs, familiar favorites, creative rhythms, and plenty of opportunities to sing along.

Ben brings a unique blend of sacred music, whimsical rap, and infectious energy. With three albums of original music and more than a decade of leading music in congregations, schools, and camps, he's all about making music a shared experience.

We'll close the evening with a dessert oneg.

Gourd times were had by all!

Thank you to everyone who carved out time to join our Brotherhood ‘s Pumpkin Carving this past Sunday. Our younger members fueled up on hot cocoa and c***r donuts, then got to work on some seriously creative designs.

A colorful shout-out to the Brotherhood for a morning that left us all feeling pretty pump(kin)ed! 🎃

A tremendous turnout for a powerful evening at Temple Emanuel of Andover.

This past Monday, as part of our Social Action Speaker Series, we welcomed members of the Parents Circle – Families Forum, a joint Israeli-Palestinian organization of bereaved families who have chosen dialogue, reconciliation and peace over revenge.

Sima Awad and Maayan Inon shared deeply personal stories of loss, grief and the very different paths that brought them to a shared commitment to a more peaceful future. Their willingness to speak, listen and build understanding in the face of unimaginable loss was both moving and inspiring.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, listened with open hearts, and helped make this such a meaningful evening.

This program was presented by Temple Emanuel’s Social Action Committee and made possible in part through the generous support of the Hacker Fund for Lifelong Learning.
