On this Labor Day, as many of us take a moment to pause and reflect, it feels especially fitting to begin our journey into the High Holy Days.
We gathered Friday evening for our Welcome Back Shabbat service, then came together Saturday for Selichot — an evening of connection and renewal. We watched the Israeli film Ushpizin (Guests), presented through the Larry Hodes Jewish Film Fund, shared dinner and conversation, and welcomed the Days of Awe as the shofar sounded and the Torah covers turned to white.
What a meaningful way to begin this time together as a community. May these days bring reflection, renewal and sweetness to you and your loved ones. ❤️
