On this Labor Day, as many of us take a moment to pause and reflect, it feels especially fitting to begin our journey into the High Holy Days.

We gathered Friday evening for our Welcome Back Shabbat service, then came together Saturday for Selichot — an evening of connection and renewal. We watched the Israeli film Ushpizin (Guests), presented through the Larry Hodes Jewish Film Fund, shared dinner and conversation, and welcomed the Days of Awe as the shofar sounded and the Torah covers turned to white.

What a meaningful way to begin this time together as a community. May these days bring reflection, renewal and sweetness to you and your loved ones. ❤️

A little preview of the beauty coming our way for the High Holidays…

Cantor Caitlin McLaughlin has been in rehearsal with our extraordinary group of musicians, and by all accounts, they sound absolutely stunning together. Those looks of deep concentration in these photos? That’s the face of serious joy — the sacred work of preparing music that will carry us through the holiest days of the year.

We’re so grateful to this remarkable ensemble for sharing their gifts with our community:

🎹 Pianist Brett Maguire
🎤 Singers Mary Alexandra Onstad, Leo Balkovetz & Cameron Dobson
🎵 Flutist Weronika Balewski
🎻 Cellist Olivia Myers

See you at services!

Summer’s not over till we say the blessing over the brisket!

Join us Friday August 28 · 6:00–7:00 pm for an End of Summer Shabbat + Kosher BBQ!

We’re starting Shabbat a little earlier than usual, followed by a BBQ in the Social Hall. A chance to be together, enjoy a meal, and squeeze in one more summer Friday night before September arrives.

We’d love to see you there! 😎

Forks down. Competition up!

Dinner, the silent auction, and the awards ceremony closed out our Annual Summer Outing 2026 in style. That's a wrap — a huge thank you to our incredible community for making this one for the books.

See you next summer!

Rain check? We didn't get the memo.

Summer Outing 2026 was fire. Golf. Mah jongg. Pickleball. Scrumptious lunch and dinner. And a silent auction and award ceremony that had everyone locked in.

Thank you Eric Schwartz and your committee for orchestrating every detail, staying the (soggy!) course, pivoting indoors, and keeping the momentum going.

More pics coming (golf first).
