American Legion Auxiliary Girls Nation is life changing for every young woman that has attended as senators. They have created bills, debated their bills, learned what it is to be a young woman as a leader, have taken chances by running for office or just getting up and debating a bill. These young ladies do not cease to amaze me on a daily basis.

I have also been given the opportunity to attend American Legion Auxiliary Girls Nation as a Senior Counselor. My life has been forever changed. I have met amazing women from all over the country, and have made lifelong friendships.

I am especially proud of our ALA Girls Nation Senators Mia and Sarah. They have shown kindness, leadership and have taken chances. We are excited to see what the future has in store for you!

Thank you ALA Girls Nation Chairman Jane Thurston for this amazing opportunity. I am truly honored to be part of this prestigious program.
