The race is never over until you hit the finish line! This year, the Humpy's Marathon race was a close one, at maybe mile 17 I saw the leader Joshua, but it turns out that later Jeff Greene from VA won in 2:49:07 and Joshua Sappington from HI came in 2nd in 2:50:49! Such a close race after 26.2 miles. Congratulations to everyone who finished the marathon!

August 21, 2027 for the Providence Alaska Children's Hospital Kids 2K, the Military Mile, Anchorage Mile. August 22, 2027 for the United Physical Therapy 49k Ultra, Humpy's Marathon, Humpy's Marathon Relay, Anchorage RunFest Half Marathon, and Anchorage RunFest 5k. Registration will open in December.

Flashback Friday. Thank you Flattop Pizza for hosting the Anchorage RunFest pasta feed on August 15! The delicious pasta was great for carbo loading before the race. Listening to VIP guest speaker Marko Cheseto is always inspiring, talking about the first mile and the last mile. The weather was perfect for a lunch outside.
