🚨 UPGRADE ALERT! 🚨

We’ve had another monumental upgrade to our pig shed! ❤️

Over the last few weeks, we’ve been working hard to get our pig shed ready for winter, making sure all of our residents have the coziest, most comfortable setups possible while they wait for their forever homes.

This latest upgrade? A brand-new, big, beautiful window! 🪟✨ Between our full-glass sliding door and now this new window, we’re bringing in even more natural light to brighten up the space and keep our piggies’ spirits high through the long Alaskan winter.

We also want to give a HUGE shoutout to one of our key team members, Daniel! Daniel dedicates so much of his time to making sure our pigs are fed, their spaces are clean, and repairs are taken care of. Rescue work truly takes a village, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everything he does to keep things running and our residents happy. Thank you, Daniel! ❤️

And, of course, thank YOU to everyone who donates, volunteers, shares our posts, or simply takes a moment to engage with our little rescue. Every bit of support makes a difference, and these improvements wouldn’t be possible without this amazing community behind us.

Meet our pair of the week, Buttercup & Mars! 💗

These two boys are one of the rescue’s sweetest (and very handsome 🤓) bonded pair, and have been looking for their forever home for a little while now. As Buttercup won fat pig week, both their adoption fees have been sponsored! So here’s just a snippet of what we love so much about them ❤️

They are extremely social! They are always one of the first up on the bars of their cage when we walk into the piggy shed. They’re always wheeking for extra attention, and LOVE chin and head scratches, as well as just being held and snuggled!

They aren’t picky eaters, I mean obviously Buttercup won fat pig week! 😂 These sweethearts are always down to share a snack with you and will do just about anything for a treat!

They are extremely bonded with each other and can be found napping together in the same hut! We love when two boars get along as well as these two do, and it always just feels extra special ❤️

And the winner of Fat Pig Week is… BUTTERCUP!

This little chunker packed on the pounds this fall to take home the win! That means both Buttercup and Mars’ future adoption fees are COVERED, thanks to Pumpkin and Poppi.

A little bit about these two sweethearts:

These two lads are gentle, curious love sponges who are some of the first to pop up at their cage to say hello when we walk in. They love chin and neck scratches, enjoy their snacks (obviously, Buttercup especially loves snacks), and best of all, they love each other!

Buttercup and Mars share a very close bond and would love to spend the rest of their lives together with their forever person.

Fat Bear Week here in Alaska has come and gone, but that means Fat Pig Week is just getting started! These 6 hungry guinea pigs have been packing on the pounds to prep for their winter hibernation and it’s up to YOU to decide who goes to the finals here at the rescue. The winner of Fat Pig Week will have their adoption fees covered for themselves and their bonded buddy, if they have one, by Pumpkin and Poppi 🥳 So start casting your votes in the comments on which 3 chunky potatoes you want to see in the finals on Saturday!

Meet four single pigs looking to be somebody’s everything 🥹

🤍 Greg, male American. He looks at you with those big dark eyes like he's already decided you're his person. He may take a week or two to warm up to you, but his curious personality will overrule his skittishness. He just needs a person he can trust to show up for him 🥹

🧡 George, male crested. This handsome lad looks like he belongs on the cover of Guinea Pig Magazine! George is a sweetheart who loves being held and wants all the tasty treats

🤎 Handsome, male American. He lives up to his name, and he'll happily munch his lettuce right beside you. He loved having his photos taken and is just yearning for his forever person!

🖤 Pinguine, female Abyssinian. She's a tiny tuxedo-wearing penguin who deserves a whole world of her own. Pinguine is incredibly social and loves time out of her cage to hangout and chat with you!

None of them are asking for much. Just fresh veggies, a cozy hideout, and a person to come home to. 🥕

Maybe you have room for one. Maybe your piggy at home has been waiting for a friend. One "yes" can change one of these beautiful piggies whole life.
