It looks like we have two large shirts left, from when my buddy Chase Rice came up to do a fundraiser for the team. Chase was going to come back up to do another fundraiser for us but then COVID happened.

Is it time to have us to have Chase come back up to Alaska and do another concert?

We are aware that drones have been flying over the fire. There is a Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) over the ( #487) in Tok. Putting up a drone in restricted airspace grounds all aerial firefighting resources. As a result, our firefighters lose a valuable resource to help them battle the ongoing wildfire. This could be the difference in saving someone's life or property.

Assistance needed:
It looks like we may have the winning bid on a truck that was being auctioned off. We need to know if there is any business that would be willing to help us paint it white, to match our other trucks. The back of the truck is a fiberglass utility box.

We are willing to help with anything that needs to be done, to make it less expensive and we are happy to pay for all supplies needed.

As a last resort we will try and find a business that would be willing to paint the truck for us at the lowest price. We hope to get this truck (if we get it up) and running and operational before winter.

Heads up Susitna Valley! A Flood Watch has been issued for portions of the Susitna Valley, including Skwentna, Willow, Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, and Petersville, from 7 PM Sunday (this evening) to Wednesday 6 PM AKDT. Expect 2 to 4 inches of rainfall upstream of Lake Creek and the Yentna River through Wednesday morning with 1 to 2 inches along the Parks Highway from Willow to Talkeetna. The window for heaviest rain will be tonight (Sunday night) through Tuesday morning. Rain and excessive runoff could become impactful to erosion-prone, low-lying, or poor-drainage areas. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Monitor the forecast for updates.

*UPDATE* The Coast Guard has located the F/V NIGHT HAWK and all persons have been accounted for.

The Coast Guard is attempting to make contact with the Fishing Vessel NIGHT HAWK, a 40-foot gillnetter homeported in Homer, Alaska, with three individuals onboard: Todd Jasper, Laura Jasper, and Jessy Ackermann.

Anyone with information regarding the vessel’s location, planned voyage, or who has had recent contact with the vessel or any of the individuals onboard, is requested to contact U.S. Coast Guard Sector Western Alaska and U.S. Arctic at 866-396-1361.
