As native people, we understand the toll drug and alcohol addiction, grief, loss, assault, violence and crime takes on ourselves and those we love and hold dear. Sometimes, we need to know there are others who understand our pain and are willing to stand beside us as we move through it.

The Native Village of Dot Lake and TeeJuh Behavioral-Health offer free support groups for our people experiencing these issues. All you have to do is click the links below to be surrounded by those who understand and can help.

- Gathering Light Support Group is for family members of victims of crime that have been impacted by alcohol abuse. Join us on Thursdays at 2pm AK Time. No registration required.

ALSC is seeking Fair Housing Testers to help identify illegal housing discrimination in Alaska. This is paid, part-time, flexible work. No experience required. Training provided.

Testers pose as renters or homebuyers and document their experiences to help ensure protections under the Fair Housing Act are upheld.

Position pays $25 per hour. Apply by Monday, March 2, 2026.

Alaska Legal Services Corporation is sending a dedicated team to the AVCP TWD Job Center at Tugkar this week, offering free, in-person guidance for anyone facing storm-related legal issues. Whether it’s housing, benefits, employment, or other storm-related concerns, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Stop by Tugkar Wednesday and Friday between 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM to speak directly with Alaska Legal Services representatives. Get the support you need—your questions deserve answers.

Good Afternoon! The Alaska Native Women's Resource Center will be postponing our Annual Unity Meeting, "Increasing the Safety of Alaska Native Women." Your voices and experiences are crucial to addressing the crisis of violence against women and building stronger protections within our communities.

Although we do not currently have new dates, we will keep everyone informed as soon as information becomes available.

Registration will remain open as a way to stay informed. If you have registered, we will keep you on the list (unless you request to be removed). If you are interested in attending when the dates are set, please register. We will notify those registered as soon as we have selected the dates.
