Have fun, do good, get paid! Looking for a way to make an impact this election? We’re looking for 8-10 passionate, socially confident, reliable Alaskans to serve as advocates and champions for voter empowerment and education as Youth Civic Engagement Fellows. The Fellows will work alongside staff, volunteers, and community partners to conduct non-partisan voter education for the November 3 General Election. This temporary contract position will run from August 17 to November 3 (flexible dates) and provides excellent career-building opportunities in voter and civic engagement. Celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States with musical numbers and storytellers! Performances will be by local artists with songs from Hadestown, Newsies, Hairspray, and more. Storytellers will be sharing their thoughts and reflections about the 250th anniversary of what they hope for the future. The event is also a part of Civic Season, a period between Juneteenth and the Fourth of July. The event is June 26 from 7:30-9:30 at the Loussac Library in the Wilda Marston Theater. The event is for all ages with parent discretion advised for strong language. Free to attend.

Anchorage Youth Vote provides a non-partisan venue for empowering youth to vote and be involved in the democratic process. Youth Vote is dedicated to providing young people, teachers, educators and the community with the relevant tools to reach this goal. Anchorage Youth Vote is a youth-led program for students aged 13 to 18. It promotes civic engagement and ensures youth voices are heard.
