There was even a little time to play while waiting for people to start or finish legs. Beth and Vic borrowed Ethan and Elliott’s bike to pedal across the bridge starting the Resurrection Pass mountain bike leg near Hope on July 27.

ASTAR's founder, retired AST Col. Audie Holloway, participates every year remotely even if it means doing 40 miles on a stationary bicycle while working at an undisclosed location in the Middle East. This year, Audie hiked the Salvage Gulf Trail in Tennessee. He sent this photo of what he called the "easy part" of the trail. It makes Kesugi Ridge look like a cake walk.
