So…what exactly do the Ames Jaycees do? 🤔 Honestly? A little bit of everything.

We volunteer.
We plan events.
We support Ames organizations.
We raise money for good causes.
We make connections.
We learn leadership skills.

And we have a pretty good time doing it!

You don't have to be an expert.
You don't have to have a ton of free time.
You don't have to know anyone when you join.

You just have to show up.

And right now, we're making that first step even easier:

10 new memberships are being sponsored and we have 5 that have not been claimed yet!

How is it already August?!

Looking to make a difference, grow your leadership skills, and build lasting friendships? The Ames Jaycees are critically and actively seeking new members who are passionate about serving our community and making a positive impact. Whether you're interested in volunteering, networking, planning events, or developing personally and professionally, there's a place for you with us!

Without members, the Ames Jaycees cannot do what we do best, and could be facing closing our chapter without membership. That means our annual events like Holiday Food Baskets and Ames on the Half Shell would also fold.

Come see what we're all about! We'd love to welcome you to the team. 💙

The Ames Jaycees and JCI Des Moines Jaycees spent the afternoon volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House in Des Moines. We prepared a full meal, including tacos, queso/chips, fruit, salad, and dessert for families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. What a wonderful experience and great way to give back to the community!
