🌟Rising YP - Aidan Shervheim! 🌟

Aidan Shervheim is the Director of Product and Strategy at Skroot Laboratory, Inc., where he leads commercialization and business operations for a startup, developing tools to streamline biomanufacturing.

With a background in startups and business consulting, Aidan brings a creative approach to problem-solving while building the systems and infrastructure needed to scale a growing business.

Prior to his current role, he held progressing roles and responsibilities at Skroot, with prior experience at Zymosense and Iowa State University’s CyBIZ Lab. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Iowa State University. He is passionate about working alongside great teams to accomplish more together than any individual could achieve alone.

We had a fantastic Lunch & Learn with Jonathon Schroeder talking about the essentials of creating a will and getting started with estate planning!

Jonathon walked us through important considerations when drafting a will, common mistakes to avoid, and steps we can take now to have more peace of mind about the future. We loved having the opportunity to learn from an amazing speaker!

6 AREA YP members had the opportunity to join 30 business leaders from across the Ames Regional Economic Alliance region for the 2026 Inter-City Visit to Athens, Georgia last week!

The goal of the Inter-City Visit is simple: learn from other communities, hear what’s working, explore new ideas and bring those ideas home to Central Iowa.

During the visit, we toured the University of Georgia football stadium, explored Wire Park and learned more about the growth, development and community initiatives happening in Athens.

We’re proud to see AREA YP members at the table for conversations that will help shape the future! 🌟
