⭐️Pictures are usually emailed to you by the Wednesday AFTER they are taken.

⭐️The Duty Warden has sole discretion over all aspects of visitation, including pictures.

Christmas Support

We have had a few churches reach out and a few individuals asking could they contribute “Secret Santa” gifts to our guests.

The answer is yes, you can.

Many of our guests are on a very limited budget and the travel expenses are insane right now. Any gift for our guests would be greatly appreciated and would help them during the most difficult season of their lives.

We mostly have female guests and some with children.

Ideas of gifts that would be helpful to our guests would be:

Bath sets (like a bath and bodywork’s set or the sets they sell at target and Walmart for the holidays)

Bath bomb sets or shower steamers

Insulated cups (the Yeti type ) as these are great for travel. Bucees has affordable ones.

Soft throws (these are great for driving long distances)

Fuzzy and fluffy socks (it gets cold in Amarillo)

Hot cocoa sets

Scarfs

Anything to help you have a spa day at home!

For the kids, they are grateful for the smallest of things. The average age for the kids we see is from 6years to teenagers. Anything would put a smile on their face.

We are working on something special for each guest, and anything donated would just add to their gifts.

We had a wonderful group this weekend. It was a beautiful experience. My heart is so full.

We had a mom and son with us and the son is in the picky eating phase. I originally planned a baked ziti but in the last minute a soft voice kept telling me chicken Alfredo. So I listened. Imagine how full my heart was when he ate and then told me it was delicious. Young man, you made my day! I had no idea it was one of your favorite foods!

We had a sweet friend and husband finally make their trip and it was truly a vacation for them and we are happy they made it and grateful for them. The little Hope Elves snuck her a sweet surprise.

We had two young ladies who are like the best of friends and to see them laugh and just have the space to feel safe made my little heart happy.

We had so much laughter and togetherness. It was in this moment that I understood who so many call us the Hope House.

James and Martha and Vicki and Don truly did the Lord’s work to make this a home away from home and this weekend was a reminder that we are carrying the torch. We will continue to keep their hard work and dedication at the core of all we do.

We are seeing more and more schedule each week and this is an amazing feeling to know so many are getting visits each week.

Next week we are slammed and I am excited about this! We look forward to all of our guests!

We are filling up for November! I highly recommend you schedule your visit in the TDCJ portal 5 weeks ahead, then call us to reserve your stay!

There are only THREE WAYS to schedule with us!

📝we have a sign up sheet on our counter for your next visit.

This is not directed to anyone person as multiple people have done it. This is a public service announcement.

I do not make reservations via private messenger as my account is constantly throttled and I’m locked out of it. I do not always have access to view what people have sent me.

I do not make reservations from the comments in posts. Example a person tagged in in another group they were coming. I never got the notification and we were actually full that weekend.

Please understand that while I am present in this group, I admin over 100 groups and I don’t see every comment even if I am tagged.

Please make sure you are calling, completing the form or sign up sheet.

RESERVATIONS!

We are completely full the weekend of 10/16 with no wiggle room.

We have one room available for the weekend of 10/23/26.

If it is the first weekend of the month or a graduation/event weekend, we will be full 5 weeks ahead of that date.

Help me help you and please schedule in advance.

ALL visits have been confirmed by phone or email for the weekend of 10/16. If I didn’t call you or email you I do not have you down for a reservation.

The mission of the Hope Welcome Center is to bring families together and to help strengthen the family bond. This is very important, especially for supporting family reunification after release.

We have thousands of families in the Texas Panhandle that have an incarcerated loved one. Many of which are incarcerated across the state. I have spoken with families and they indicated they do not utilize the video visitation as they do not have a stable internet connection or device to conduct the visit on.

We have launched our Video Visit Assistance program! Essentially you schedule your visit online in the TDCJ portal and then call us to schedule with us. Arrive a few minutes before your scheduled video visit. We will let you use our iPad or computer and you can visit with your loved one.

There is no cost for this service. We just ask that you consider leaving a donation to help us continue our mission.
