Potter County Livestock Show and Premium Sale

Potter County Livestock Show and Premium Sale Potter County students show the animals they have raised, sell them in the Premium Sale to pay for feed, supplies, and animals for next year.

The Potter County Junior Livestock Association (PCJLA) and Potter County Buyers Club prepare annually for the “Potter County Stock Show & Premium Sale.” Members of the Potter County 4-H and FFA Chapters from Bushland, Highland Park, River Road, Tascosa, and Caprock schools will showcase the animals they have raised in the Stock Show and then sell them in the Premium Sale to pay for feed, supplies,

animals for the next year, and even for college tuition. The Potter County Buyers Club ensures that every animal qualifying for the sale has a buyer. It takes over $100,000 each year to make this a reality. Your contribution to this program will enable our youth to continue to learn the lessons of discipline and responsibility, traits needed to properly care for their animals, together with a hands-on approach to managing finances. We, as parents, grandparents, mentors, and volunteers, appreciate your sincere interest in our young 4-H and FFA members and cordially invite you to join us at our Stock Show scheduled for January 23, 2015 in the Glenn McMennamy Building located on the Tri-State Fairgrounds. We would also like to invite you to attend the Awards Ceremony and Premium Sale on Saturday, January 24, 2015 in the Glenn McMennamy Building. As you know, financial contributions are what make this great program possible for the young people of Potter County and we would very much like to add your name as a contributor who is interested and willing to add support to the Potter County Junior Livestock Show.
