“Babies remember.”

This year at our LEARN Conference 2026, Child-Parent Psychotherapy is not just a conversation; it's a full learning pathway woven throughout the conference, with opportunities to explore clinical practice, research, and real-world application across settings.

And it begins with a powerful Pre-Conference Forum led by Chandra Ghosh Ippen, PhD and Katie Stone, PhD.

Through eight clinical sessions, participants will explore how Child-Parent Psychotherapy uses play, relationship and reflection to help children and caregivers heal from trauma together.

This immersive learning experience will examine:
- symbolic play
- clinical microinterventions
- CPP fidelity and intervention
- ghosts in the nursery work
- the evolution of therapeutic play across sessions

Expect deep clinical reflection, rich dialogue and a rare opportunity to observe treatment unfold. Join us in Portland: https://bit.ly/42SIyDA

Basics Principle #4 Explore Through Movement and Play

When your baby plays in all types of settings it stimulates new brain pathways that builds important skills for the future!

Toddler Time will start this Friday, May 29 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am! Toddler Time is a special session during the morning exclusively for you and a child (4 years old or younger). Due to a limited lifeguard staff during this time, we require one adult per child to be present.

NEW in 2026: Tickets now include one or two adults per one child! This is an option for one additional adult to join the original ticket holder for an additional $2! Select "Toddler Time with 2 Adults" for $6 to add an extra adult to the ticket.

There are 30 spots open per week, but these will sell out fast! The $4 ticket purchase covers entry for one adult and one child. Season passes do not apply to this session. Tickets go on sale 48 hours in advance of each session here: https://www.gatemastertickets.com/CityofCanyon/index_event_schedule.aspx?mode=times&id=512

Maximize Love and Manage Stress is Basics Principle Number 1 because of the power it has to build your baby’s brain.

Maximize Love and Manage Stress is Basics Principle Number 1 because of the power it has to build your baby’s brain.

Nearly one-third of parents report lacking support from family, friends or partners.

That kind of isolation isn’t just painful, it’s harmful.

A caregiver’s mental health directly affects a baby’s development. Stress, depression, and burnout can make it harder to bond, respond, and connect. Babies feel that deeply.

Babies don’t just need love. They need supported love. That means showing up for caregivers with policies, programs and community care that make parenting possible.

It's back! The Early Childhood Workforce Advancement Act has officially been reintroduced in Congress.

Led by Senator Jeff Merkley (D-OR) and Lucy McBath (D-GA), the bill would invest in the future of the early childhood workforce by expanding high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways for aspiring educators.

This legislation would provide competitive grants to partnerships between colleges, child care providers, and community organizations to establish, support, and expand ECE-focused CTE programs. These programs would help students gain valuable classroom experience while working toward credentials such as the CDA®.

The bill also includes wraparound services, making it easier for aspiring educators to complete their education and enter the workforce prepared to succeed.

Home Visiting changes lives. These ladies are world class at what they do!

The Head Start Home-Based program is all about meeting families exactly where they are. We believe parents are a child’s first and most important teacher but our Home Educators are the bridge that makes it all happen!

That’s why this week, we want to celebrate our incredible Home Educator team. They hit the road every day to bring resources, support, and a love for learning directly into our community's living rooms. 🏡❤️

Thank you to our team for your heart, your dedication, and for building brighter futures, one home visit at a time. 🤗
