Artificial intelligence isn’t just changing STEM careers, it’s reshaping how students, educators, and professionals learn, collaborate, and build the future together. 💡

In this episode of STEM Stories, Dr. Dirk Frese sits down with Kate Assad to explore the complex mix of opportunity and concern surrounding AI in STEM, specifically in healthcare. Kate reflects on how AI can be a powerful tool when it supports human thinking and judgment, and why hands‑on providers and caregivers remain essential as technology advances.

Beyond AI, this conversation highlights how curiosity and teamwork help students and early‑career professionals navigate change, ask better questions, and work together on solutions that matter. These themes are at the heart of our mission to elevate real STEM stories and make pathways into STEM more visible, inclusive, and inspiring.
