Yesterday we had the wonderful opportunity to check out Turn To Us in Nesquehoning, which also happens to be an IronPigs Charities GameOn! facility grant recipient. A one of a kind sensory gym allows individuals with sensory issues to learn to regulate their brain’s negative reactions to external stimuli by developing coping skills for these experiences. The Turn to Us gym offers a variety of benefits: calming effects, stimulation, socialization, improved focus, motor skills development, cognitive development, and sensory development.

Coca-Cola Park isn’t the only field gearing up for the upcoming baseball season! Thank you Jennifer and Steve from Bushkill Township Athletic Association for allowing IPC to visit your newly rennovated fields yesterday. Field renovations were possible through an IronPigs Charities GameOn Facility Improvement grant. Your baseball and softball teams are so lucky to have a dedicated staff looking for ways to improve the ballgame experience! ⚾️

It was a great day at the ballpark yesterday as we rolled the freshly painted IronPiggy Bank out to the concourse sporting its new look! After six painting sessions, art teacher Nancy Lewis, from Bethlehem School District was able to transfer Brenna’s winning design to life 🐖

The ballpark may be cashless this season, but the IronPiggy Bank will still be accepting donations! Every penny counts as we continue to raise funds for supporting educational and recreational opportunities for disadvantaged youth across the Valley.

Many thanks to Painting & Decorating by Shane LLC and The Morning Call for supporting our Paint the Pig contest. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Calling all youth sports organization leaders, board members, and volunteers! We want you to join us for our upcoming FREE GameOn session on Sunday, May 16! The key outcome of our upcoming session is to come up with a written action plan for your leadership team, created with the guidance of a PCA trainer, specific to the needs and circumstances of your organization and the population it serves. If this sounds like something your youth sports organization could benefit from, you can secure your spot here: https://www.gameonlv.com/seminar-registration/

GameOn! sessions are proudly sponsored by Lehigh Valley Health Network . Session curriculum lead by representatives from Positive Coaching Alliance and National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS)

IronPigs Charities

IronPigs Charities is supported through the strong fanbase of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs via in-game fundraising activities such as the popular 50/50 raffle, used team equipment sales, and the team jersey auctions. Funds are also raised through contributions from companies, organizations and individuals, as well as from special event sponsorships and ticket sales for annual events including the Phillies Winter Caravan, Hackers & Homers golf tournament and the Meet the Team Dinner.

IronPigs Charities is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the cornerstone of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs' commitment to the Lehigh Valley community and is presented by the Air Products Foundation.

IronPigs Charities is governed a Board of Directors that meets four times annually (March, June, September, December).
