Happy Earth Week 🌎
At TEAL, it’s Earth Week every week. Here’s a look back over the last year of stewardship in Syracuse.

Our mission is to reconnect people to their environment through education and the creation and care of green spaces.

This year, that’s included neighborhood cleanups, tree planting for riparian restoration, farm infrastructure building, and hands-on workshops with our community.

And we’re just getting started.

This weekend we attended the 2025 Food Justice Gathering as recipients of the Food Justice Fund! 🌱 We shared our work, connected with community leaders, farms, and changemakers, and learned about powerful food justice initiatives in Syracuse and beyond. Huge thanks to the Syracuse Onondaga Food System Alliance for organizing such an inspiring event and supporting our work toward a more equitable food system. 💚

The first Westside Harvest Festival was a huge success! 🎉 Community members picked and painted pumpkins, experimented with natural dyes, crafted, enjoyed great food, inoculated logs, and celebrated together. A big thank-you to all the community organizations who joined us to share information and free resources and a special shoutout to Our Farm for generously donating over 75 pumpkins! 🎃💚
