Brady is about due process—so why doesn’t that due process apply to law enforcement officers?

The problem? The systems are a patchwork—and officers can sometimes be added to these lists without notice, without an opportunity to object, without an appeal, and without any meaningful way to contest the decision.
Yes, criminal defendants deserve to know about evidence that could help their defense—but so do officers who can face serious professional consequences based on allegations or findings they may have no opportunity to challenge.
Due process shouldn’t depend on which side of the courtroom you’re standing on.
