Tuesday at Spitfire Camp was a blur! (Swipe)

I’ll let a camper tell the story: “I loved when I had to wait in line in the bathroom. I liked when we splashed each other. And I made new friends”

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Also, that time when the campers beat the counselors on tug of war… TWICE. 😳

It must have been the energy boost they got from the pizza generously provided by The Cooper Mill! In a new record, not a single camper asked for cup noodles today — this pizza doesn’t miss!

It was an epic first day of Spitfire Camp! We kicked off with our camp carnival, decorated camp T-shirts, got our hair French-braided and danced like there was no tomorrow. And read some books, of course!

A huge thank you to our camp supporters Alexandria Kiwanis and Windmill Hill Homes for making this year’s camp possible, and to our amazing volunteers for powering our day!

Let’s do it again tomorrow, shall we?

Did you know that volunteers dedicated over 1,500 hours to Spitfire’s mission last year?

As a team of two, we can say with confidence that **our work would not be possible** without this amazing team of volunteers alongside us!

We had so much fun last night at ALX Community celebrating a fantastic year of programming with the amazing volunteers who make it happen. A huge thank you to our mentors, to our camp and event volunteers, to our office and administrative volunteers, and to our leaders for your time, your brilliance, and your dedication to our girls!

We did it! YOU did it!

We are so excited that we set two new personal S2A records tonight: the most money we’ve ever raised and the most donors we’ve ever engaged!

This was tremendous team effort. A huge thank you to our eight fundraiser hosts, and to our matching gift hosts, for being champions for our girls! We couldn’t have done this without you!!!
