Our 20th anniversary festival kicks off three weeks from tomorrow—on Sunday, November 8—with a film by director Chad Heddleston (pictured), "Catching Pinecones."

It's the story of a fascinating couple, Jan and Herb Conn, pioneering rock climbers who, beginning in the 1940’s, made more first ascents and new climbs than anyone. With just rudimentary equipment—a rope, some pitons and a hammer, and sneakers—they set the standard for generations to come.
