IBH Addiction Recovery provides a continuum of care for individuals with drug and alcohol addiction seeking recovery, including residential treatment, outpatient services, day treatment, and aftercare support complemented by spiritual guidance. Our evidence-based approaches treat the disease of addiction and support the emotional wellness of the person throughout their recovery. We Strive to Treat The Whole Person
We offer a comprehensive, evidence-based approach that is provided by experienced, licensed physicians, clinicians, counselors, case managers, and nurses who manage a personalized treatment plan for each client. Our treatment approach also includes a spiritual component so our clients can find clarity, sense of purpose, and the meaning of life as they work toward their recovery. A History of Results
IBH Addiction Recovery Center is the largest community-based residential treatment facility in Summit County. We are proud that, according to our most recent client survey, 98% of those who have received treatment at IBH Addiction Recovery Center would recommend us to someone else seeking help for a substance use disorder.

It isn't always easy to recognize when substance use has reached the point where professional help may be needed.

Sometimes the signs are obvious. Other times, they're small changes that begin adding up: problems at work, withdrawing from people you care about, financial difficulties, changes in physical or emotional health, or repeatedly trying to cut back without success.

You don't have to know exactly what kind of treatment you need before reaching out.

An assessment can help you better understand what's happening and explore the options that may be appropriate for you.

IBH Addiction Recovery offers multiple levels of treatment and support based on individual needs, including Residential Treatment, Day Treatment, and Outpatient Programs.

Sometimes substance use isn't the only challenge someone is facing.

Depression can affect motivation, relationships, sleep, work, physical health, and the ability to manage everyday life. When depression and substance use occur together, addressing only one part of the problem may leave important needs unmet.

Depression Awareness Month reminds us to look at the whole person.

If you notice significant changes in yourself or someone you care about, don't assume you have to determine what's wrong before asking for help. Starting the conversation can be enough to begin exploring what support may be needed.

We’re grateful to share that IBH Addiction Recovery has received a $25,000 grant from Akron Community Foundation.

🍁 Fall Into Recovery is tomorrow! 🍁

Join IBH Addiction Recovery tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, for an evening celebrating recovery, connection, and community at our annual Fall Into Recovery event.

Bring your family and friends for an evening of food trucks, live music, pumpkin decorating, and face painting, plus more than 20 community resource organizations. The Summit County Humane Society Mobile Adoption Center will join us, and you'll also have the chance to pick up the Just A Dad From Akron x IBH Addiction Recovery collaboration T-shirt and purchase mums for fall.

Fall Into Recovery is free and family-friendly, offering a chance to have some fun, connect with community resources, and come together to celebrate the hope and possibilities of recovery.

In the latest episode of Stories of Substance, IBH Addiction Recovery CEO Jess Rist sits down with Judge Joy Malek Oldfield, presiding judge of Turning Point, Summit County’s adult felony drug court program.

Judge Oldfield shares how Turning Point combines accountability, treatment, and community support to help people make meaningful changes. She also discusses the importance of residential treatment, IBH Addiction Recovery’s partnership with Turning Point, and why long-term support can make such a difference in recovery.

As Judge Oldfield explains, accountability does not have to be about punishment. Sometimes, consequences can be therapeutic and create an opportunity for change.

Mental health and recovery are deeply connected, and strong communities make room for conversations about both.

That’s why IBH Addiction Recovery is proud to support NAMIWalks Summit County on Saturday, September 19.

NAMIWalks brings our community together to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and show support for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. These goals align closely with our belief that understanding, connection, and access to support can make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
