UPDATE!!!!!

After spending a little over four hours at the Stark County emergency vet, and doing lots of testing and bloodwork and x-rays, Lenox is now safely home in the rescue.

It turns out, this is an 11-year-old cat.

She has kidney stones, bladder stones, and some spinal compression. All of these things are very normal for a senior cat.

What's not normal is a case of Giardia with severe diarrhea, extreme weight loss, and deadly dehydration.

She also has anisocoria, which is when a cat's pupils are different sizes. This is likely due to some type of trauma.

Sadly, she has a registered microchip.

But it is incredibly clear from her state that she was severely neglected and outside for way too long.

Keep your cats inside!

We have alerted the microchip people, but we've also made a note that we want to bring her into the Rescue. We think that she will receive the best care with us.

We are armed with a mountain of medications. She was given subcutaneous fluids. We have options for more if necessary. We will follow up to make sure she is clear of parasites next week.

She is currently safely in quarantine in the Rescue. We are feeding her really good high-quality food. Our goal is to fatten her up.

It cost us about $1000. So if you were interested in supporting the Rescue, we would love some help. We used a credit card to pay for her vet care. But we have a standing balance at The Great Life, and any donations will go to paying that off.

We are going to fight to keep this beautiful girl because she deserves to be loved and cared for INSIDE.

Just when we thought our Showgirl Era was over, here comes Lenox!

However, this very uncommon orange girl is quite sick. She's severely dehydrated due to diarrhea from Giardia. She has anisocoria, which can be caused by head trauma, neurological disorders, or various deadly viruses. She also has something happening with her upper respiratory that's causing her to have a really difficult time exhaling.

So I am spending the day down at the Stark County Veterinarian Emergency Clinic getting her all of the testing to hopefully be able to treat her to put her up for adoption.

It's going to be a tiring and expensive day!

PLEASE SHARE!!!!

Please help us find Honey a home!

Honey is looking for a home with a couple of other cats who aren't into picking fights. But absolutely no dogs. He is great with kids. He loves a kitten.

If you adopt him, you can expect a 15.5 pound weighted pillow that will sit on your lap and allow you to pet and brush him all day long while he purrs.

He is so sweet and chill and just a little bit weird.

Please share and help us find him a home!
