Championing the value of music and intellectual property rights of music creators have been our core mission for more than 50 years. The Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP) is a non-stock non-profit association of composers, lyricists and music publishers established in 1965 to primarily help music users get the necessary permission to use copyrighted local and foreign songs, and help music creators get royalties for the use of their songs. It is a member of the Paris-based International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC), the umbrella organization for 232 creator rights management organizations worldwide. FILSCAP has been duly accredited by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines to operate as a Collective Management Organization (CMO) for music creators and copyright owners, and to primarily license the public playing, broadcast and streaming of the songs of its members, and the members of its affiliate foreign societies. Currently, FILSCAP's repertoire covers over 20 million copyrighted local and foreign songs.

In just a few weeks, we will be stepping into the 2026โ€“2027 season as FILSCAP brings not one, but two of our flagship songwriting programs to Dumaguete City:

๐ŸŽถ ๐‚๐€๐Œ๐๐”๐’ ๐‚๐€๐‘๐€๐•๐€๐, a creative space for budding songwriters straight from their schools, where we empower the youth through workshop lectures and real conversations about music, creativity, and their passion for songwriting.

From classrooms to live venues, this regional stop is all about building community through grassroots exposure, industry collaboration, and, ultimately, celebrating original Filipino music.
