Happening Today: Pondo ng Pinoy Visits Candle-Making Project in the Diocese of Boac

As part of the Diocesan Anniversary of Boac, Pondo ng Pinoy is visiting one of the projects supported through the generous contributions of our Pondo ng Pinoy partners and donors.

Today, we visited a Candle-Making Project in the Diocese of Boac, which received financial support from Pondo ng Pinoy to help strengthen and sustain the livelihood initiative of its beneficiaries.

The visit was led by Pondo ng Pinoy Executive Director Ms. Morena Cosare, together with Project Officer Ms. Pilar Santiago and Communications Officer Bebot Sabangan, with the assistance of Pondo ng Pinoy Lay Coordinator Bro. Edgar Guevarra and the Diocesan Social Action staff.

Through projects like this, Pondo ng Pinoy continues to turn small acts of generosity into meaningful opportunities for communities. 🕯️❤️

The Pondo ng Pinoy family joins the clergy and lay faithful of the Diocese of San Carlos in celebrating the birthday of Most Rev. Gerardo A. Alminaza, D.D.

Your Excellency, thank you for your steadfast leadership, passionate advocacy, and fatherly care. May the Lord continue to bless you with strength, grace, and good health as you lead the community with love and humility.

Sa tingin mo, gaano kalaki ang maaaring maging epekto ng isang maliit na barya o “mumo” kapag pinagsama-sama ng marami?

Today's Gospel: Matthew 14:22–33

Jesus walks on the water toward His disciples during a storm. Peter asks Jesus to let him come to Him, but when Peter becomes afraid of the strong wind, he begins to sink. Jesus reaches out and saves him.

The key message is faith in the midst of fear and uncertainty.

"Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid."
— Matthew 14:27

Relating it to Pondo ng Pinoy

This Gospel beautifully connects with SULONG-PADAYON—moving forward in faith even when the journey becomes difficult.

The mission of Pondo ng Pinoy reminds us that we do not need to accomplish something extraordinary all at once. Like Peter taking one step toward Jesus, we are invited to take small steps of faith, generosity, and service.

Sometimes our "mumo" may seem too small to make a difference. We may even wonder if our simple contribution can really help someone. But when offered with faith and multiplied through a community, that small act becomes part of something much greater.

Today's reminder:
🌊 Do not be afraid to take the next step.
💚 Do not underestimate your small act of generosity.
🙏 Keep your eyes on Christ and continue the mission.
