Leadership is not measured by the oath taken, but by the people it chooses to serve.

On June 15, the newly appointed YWCA Executive Board took their oath of office, stepping into roles that demand not only dedication, but empathy, accountability, and the courage to stand for what is right. Beyond the titles and ceremonies lies the quiet, everyday work of listening, advocating, organizing, and creating spaces where women and girls are empowered to thrive.

As they begin this new chapter, may they remain grounded in the values that brought them here and steadfast in the mission they have chosen to uphold. May they lead with purpose, speak with conviction, and act with compassion. Recognizing that meaningful change is built through consistency, collective effort, and service to others.

In the name of feminism, may their leadership challenge barriers, amplify voices, and leave a legacy defined not by authority, but by impact.

And just like that, another semester comes to an end.

What once felt like endless deadlines, exhausting mornings, sleepless nights, and stressful days slowly became memories we never want to let go of. Somewhere between the chaos and the quiet moments, we grew into different versions of ourselves.

This semester was more than surviving requirements and responsibilities. It was about the people who made difficult days lighter, the laughter shared in random moments, the comfort of knowing you were not struggling alone, and the memories created in places that eventually started to feel like home.
Sometimes, we do not realize a moment is important until it becomes a memory. And now that this chapter is closing, we finally understand how much these ordinary days truly meant to us.

As this semester ends, may we carry not only the lessons we learned inside classrooms, but also the experiences, friendships, and moments that shaped who we are becoming. ๐Ÿ’—

Some battles this semester were never visible: mental exhaustion, pressure, self-doubt, burnout, and the quiet fear of falling behind while everyone else seemed to be doing fine.

There were days when simply getting out of bed felt difficult, nights filled with overthinking, and moments when you questioned if you were still capable of continuing. Yet despite all of that, here you are, still moving forward. ๐ŸŒธ

This semester may not have been perfect. Maybe there were breakdowns between deadlines, silent tears after failing expectations, or times you felt emotionally drained while still forcing yourself to smile and function. But your worth was never defined by one grade, one failure, or one exhausting season.

Sometimes, strength is found not in being the best, but in choosing to continue even when everything in you wanted to stop.

You carried responsibilities, personal struggles, academic pressure, and invisible battles all at once and that is not easy. So please give yourself credit for every small victory: every requirement you passed, every class you attended despite exhaustion, every moment you convinced yourself to keep going. Those things matter more than you think.

Congratulations, sYsters. ๐ŸŒท

She was never asking for your comments, your whistles, or your unwanted attention.
What some call โ€œjust a jokeโ€ can become fear, discomfort, and silence carried by women every single day.

Catcalling is not admiration.

It is disrespect disguised as humor, harassment mistaken for confidence, and intimidation hidden behind careless words.

Every woman deserves to walk freely without fear on the streets, in schools, on jeepneys, anywhere, anytime.

Speak up. Educate others. Respect boundaries.
Because creating safe spaces begins with the way we treat people.

Women deserve to feel safe, not unsafe. Always.

โ€œBakit kasi ganiyan manamit?โ€โ€จโ€œBakit ka sumama?โ€โ€จโ€œBaka kasi nagbibigay siya ng motibo?โ€

โ€ŽThis Labor Day, we honor the strength of every Filipina who rises each day not just to workโ€”but to provide, to nurture, and to endure.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽFrom classrooms to construction sites, from offices to open streets, their labor goes beyond dutyโ€”it becomes an act of love, of sacrifice, and of quiet resilience. They carry families, dreams, and futures on their shoulders, often without recognition, yet never without purpose.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽToday is more than a celebration it is a reminder.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽA reminder that behind progress are women who persist.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽBehind every success story are hands that chose to keep going.
โ€Ž
โ€ŽPadayon. Patuloy.
