we are saying a huge thanks today to Courtney, Ethan and Lucian from Land Based Training Ltd for coming and helping us today with our horses. We are so grateful as we would have had to cancel lessons today due to lack of volunteers. Having you all here really saved the day for our lovely riders.

Whangārei Riding for the Disabled are currently looking for volunteers.

This beautiful organisation relies so heavily on the generosity, time, and heart of everyday people. The incredible work they do simply wouldn’t exist without community support.

You don’t need any horse experience at all. No prior knowledge, just a willingness to show up. Full training is provided by their amazing, supportive team.
Volunteering at RDA is so much more than helping out

For you, it’s a chance to slow down, be present, and feel the fulfillment that comes from giving.

For the families and carers, it’s support, relief, and knowing their children are held in a safe, nurturing space.

But most importantly
 for the children,
It’s confidence.
It’s joy.
It’s healing.
It’s the freedom they feel when they’re on a horse, where limitations seem to fade and possibility opens up.

If you’ve been feeling the nudge to give back, to be part of something meaningful, or to simply do something that fills your heart
 this could be it.

Sometimes the smallest act, giving a little of your time can create the biggest impact in someone else’s life.

If this speaks to you, reach out and get involved.
Your presence will be hugely appreciated.

An exciting day today with huge thanks to Brett and the team from Dargaville ITM and Makita New Zealand for the amazing donation of a motorised cart. Thanks also to our committee member Victoria Daniel for her initiative in helping this to happen for us. This will save a lot of hard labour for our lovely volunteers and staff getting hay up to the paddocks for our horses. Check out Suze doing a practice run with it - its a whizzy thing😂 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VY-iVAEgnF7kACNcTLeJYcUISi9OmJ8e/view?usp=sharing
