Eve has grown into such a pretty dog ♥ she is sweet natured, loves racing round and playing with the other dogs and pups, her favourite thing is to hang out (and help) in reception, and she has so much fun playing with her toys. Our team have been working with her using hand signals as she is deaf, Eve's a smart girl and is doing well. She does need to keep up with her training so that she can continue to grow in confidence. You can find her on the website here https://www.spca.nz/adopt/animal/662726/dog-eve-whangarei Thanks so much to Lacy for the amazing photo of Eve.

Can you give 2 hours of your time for the animals? 🐶🐱

We need volunteer street collectors for our Fill the Bucket street appeal, which is taking place on 30 and 31 October in Whangārei and all around the country!

What's involved:
👉 Just 2 hours of your time (or more if you like) on either Friday 30 or Saturday 31 October
👉 Working in pairs at a collection site in your area, collecting donations from the public
👉 You'll be provided with the collection bucket, bibs, and stickers.
👉 You're welcome to bring your dog with you! Just remember to bring their water bowl and bags.

Every cent donated from our Fill the Bucket street appeal goes back to the thousands of animals that we help each year. This is a critical fundraiser, and we couldn't do it without our collection volunteers!

Please share this far and wide across your local community groups, and sign up here: https://spcanz.cervistech.com/acts/webreg/eventwebreglist.php?org_id=0431&event_category_id=15

Ivy doing zoomies on the hill ♥ Ivy was very scared and underweight when she came into our care so she is with an amazing foster family where she can learn how to be a part of a family and grow more confident. Her foster mum says 'Ivy is a cuddly girl who is happy to play with her toys, loves going for walks, playing outside and often gets zoomies when excited. Ivy absolutely loves to snuggle up with you on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, or in front of the fire. She sleeps in her crate at night and is a great travel companion in the car.

Ivy will need a home with a family who have the time and patience to help her become more comfortable in new environments and around new people. Ivy is a just lovely girl and we will be sad to see her go but excited for her new journey with her forever family.' https://www.spca.nz/adopt/animal/666105/dog-ivy-whangarei
