What a high and low!

Following an incredible book fair weekend, we returned to the hub today to find piles of wet, mouldy clothing dumped by our fence.

Disposing of other peoples rubbish costs us vital funds, money raised by our community, now being spent on dump fees instead of our cause.

Please do not dump rubbish or leave donations outside when we are closed.

We appreciate clean, usable donations during open hours only.

Thank you for your support and understanding!

It's hard to have to write posts like these, but we need your help.

Recently, we’ve seen a big increase in broken and mouldy baby items and expired car seats coming through our doors.

Our families deserve to walk away with safe, working and clean equipment for their little ones. We are all about giving a hand up, not a hand out and unfortunately, our small charity simply cannot keep absorbing the high costs of disposing of damaged or unusable items.

What to do with car seats:

Please take your car seats directly to Baby On The Move - Nelson. Their team will check to see if your seat is still in date and safe to pass on to another child.

If it's safe and in date, fantastic!

If it’s expired, Baby on the Move will arrange to recycle it for a small fee. Every household gets one discounted car seat recycling fee per year!

Before dropping off any donations, please ask yourself: Would I feel comfortable gifting this to a member of my family?

Thank you all so much for your ongoing love, support and for helping us keep our community safe! 💛
