Kia ora tatou takatapui me tāhine katoa. It’s been a long while since I posted anything on here and I have been going on my own journey of discovery of who I am and how I relate to my faith and church. I came out as non-binary ( tāhine ) in April and it took me a while to come to terms with my faith and church community. The response from the leaders was total silence however I was made welcome in my new identity by individuals in the community. I recently put myself out before the whole Nelson community in the form of an article in the Nelson magazine and hope to now pick up where I left off advocating and promoting q***r people of faith.

Sorry I have been silent for a time. There were some issues in the background that made it seem like a period of lower profile would be better. These have been resolved now so I hope to be back posting again.

I have recently been sent a survey looking at the LGBTQIA+/takatāpui experince in faith communities across the motu. It is a very well constructed survey and from a place of love and acceptance. Please consider completeing it.
