One of the goals of our Breakfast Programme is to create opportunities and pathways for our tamariki to experience new things, build confidence, and put the skills they learn into action.

Last week, we were incredibly excited to send Zane and Cole from Te Waka Unua to the Ricki Herbert Football Academy for an amazing two-day football experience alongside players from across the city. ⚽

The boys represented themselves and their school so well, and we hope it was a true Game Changer experience that inspires them and encourages others in our Breakfast Programme to dream big and give new opportunities a go.

And we’re just getting started! Next up, we’re hoping to take a group of keen kids to the Real Madrid Foundation Clinic during the school holidays—and maybe even to see the All Whites take on India in November! 🇳🇿

Our Third Annual Beach Day 2026 was a smash hit! 🌊☀️
A huge thank you to all our incredible supporters, dedicated volunteers, and partner organisations who made the day possible. Because of your generosity and support, 60 amazing kids from BBBS and Cholmondeley Children's Centre had the opportunity to enjoy sport on the beach, make special memories, and experience something truly unforgettable.

We were also delighted to send them home with a few leaving gifts to remember the day! 🎁
Your continued support means the world to us and to the young people we serve. We couldn’t do it without you — here’s to making next year even bigger and better! 🙌

In 2024, we launched the Football Breakfast Programme in Christchurch to create an inclusive and meaningful space for young people—especially those who may not get team-sport opportunities outside of school.

At Game Changer Foundation , we focus on what truly matters: knowing every player, showing up consistently, and giving kids a place to grow their skills, confidence, and love for sport.

One year on, we’re seeing stronger ability, higher engagement, and a new generation of kids discovering football—many for the first time.

A huge thank you to the New Zealand Sikh Society (South Island), Te Waka Unua School, , and .christchurch for helping make this impact possible.
